i do adore the pastel colours chosen and the sweet quality of the snow-white cat...There is much to ponder here: the curly candycane tree with its resufacing tentacle - like a dead lover reaching out of a star crossed grave blind heart-helium-balloon so strung - hard to tell which is the puppet: us or our hearts. I think even though this piece may be surreal, it may very well contain much of the subconscious....perhaps?
This piece has alot of the same isolated factors, staying true to your style. However, you frequently use more line connection and in this piece you didn't use as many. It took me a moment to recongnize your art. So here's my question: where you going for a different style or were you wanting to stick to your recognizable style? If the first, I would suggest painting candy cane trees a couple more times in the upper and middle segments of painting. If the second, maybe add a few more connecting lines as typical with your style, to make you more recognizable as, well, you.
Critique aside, I love how whimsical this piece is. The theme of the rabbit doll floating away on her balloon is like many childrens fantasties. I also, love the contrasting and ominous grey sky. This simplicity of the shapes adds to the whimsy. Good job! this is a absolutely great piece!
